The world’s most famous diamond has been stolen from the Splendido Chateaux in Paris! Who has been sent to solve the case? France’s most infamous Policeman – Inspector Clueless! There’s only one problem…he’s a clumsy, bumbling buffoon…he literally doesn’t have a clue!
Why have all the Chateaux’s oil paintings melted? Why is there a huge puddle where once stood an ice sculpture? Does the Inspector think the clue to the crime has been right under his nose all along? – does he mean his moustache?

Inspector Clueless, which explores the topic of materials and their properties, is based on relevant sections of the National Curriculum for science.
Infants (4-7yrs): Explores the properties of materials, how to tell them apart and how to sort them into natural or man made groups. We look at the effects of heating and cooling materials. We learn about solids, liquids and gases by examining ice, water and steam.
(Running time 60 mins including a Q&A session)
Juniors (7-12yrs): As above but with a more in depth look at the properties of solids, liquids and gases. We compare materials and learn which are conductors and insulators of heat and of electricity. We look at reversible and irreversible changes in materials. We examine temperature and water. Magnetic materials are also examined.
