A Play about Human Biology

Join Briony Stranger and Don Beasley as they endeavour to unravel the magic of science by creating the perfect human body. Find out if they are to be crowned winners of the Warthogs school cup!

Which house will the sorting hat put you in? Will their arch enemy Snako Growlfoy put a stop to their creation by stealing their secret plans? Or can Larry Plotter use his finely tuned senses to capture this sneak before it’s too late?!

Larry Plotter, which explores the topic of human biology, is based on relevant sections of the National Curriculum for science.

Infants (4-7yrs): Explores the main parts of the human body and how the body works. We explain human organs - including the heart, lungs, stomach and brain. We learn about our five senses, their nature and uses and how the skeleton works and its functions.(Running time 60 mins including a Q&A session)

Juniors (7-12yrs): As above, with a more in depth look at the skeleton, all our major organs and their specific functions. We explain the function of blood in transporting food, oxygen and waste. We examine cells, our pulse, the circulatory system (arteries, veins and capillaries) and respiratory system (lungs and breathing). (Running time 60 mins including a Q&A session)
